Kenya is an amazing place. Where else can you go from the tranquility of a world-class beach to the excitement of two fabulous national parks? When you want to take a break from your coastal holiday, Hidden Treasure Africa Safaris has the perfect 3-day safari for you.
Tsavo West National Park is one of the largest parks in Kenya and offers visitors dramatic scenery and equally dramatic wildlife. This is the home of the famous Tsavo lions where tales of ferocious hunting have long been a part of local lore.
If elephants are on your mind, Amboseli National Park is the place to be. Perhaps no other park in Africa offers as many opportunities to view these giant grazers in the wild. And there’s other big game spotting here as well: cheetah, zebra, wildebeests, hyena, and hundreds of bird species.
Ready for adventure? Let’s get started! We’ll pick you up from your Diani Beach or South Coast resort and journey out on the modern Mombasa-Nairobi Road. Arriving at the red-soil expanse of Tsavo West Park, we’ll enjoy lunch and then a game drive. Accommodations this evening will be in Tsavo West at the lodge or tented camp of your choice.
Day 2 – Tsavo/Amboseli
We’ll be up early with the African sunrise and take a game drive to watch the world awaken in the wild. After breakfast, we’ll head to the verdant cool of Mzima Springs. Amidst the refreshing greenery here, we’ll be looking for hippos, crocs, colorful fish, and many species of birdlife.
From Tsavo West, it’s a short drive to Amboseli Park. You’ll know you’re at Amboseli by the sight of the magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro towering over the park. The animal viewing is bountiful here so be on the lookout for lion, elephant, buffalo, cheetah, Masai giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, and a rich variety of birdlife. Tonight, you’ll be staying at a lodge or tented camp in Amboseli Park.
If you’d like, while at Amboseli you can enjoy an optional visit to a Masai Village to meet these legendary people and learn about their culture.
Day 3 – Amboseli/Diani Beach
You’re not at the beach now so it’s up early to start the adventure! Look for another African sunrise over the savannah and maybe (weather permitting) a view of Mt. Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak.
After breakfast, we’ll take one more game drive in this always-exciting park and then transit back to Diani Beach. On the way, we’ll lunch at a picturesque spot overlooking Tsavo East Park.
All-Inclusive. Your 3-Day Tsavo West/Amboseli safari includes all ground transportation, accommodation in a choice of economy, comfort or luxury safari lodges/tented camps, park entrance fees, game drives, all meals, and pickup/drop off at your Diani and south coast locations.
