These are two of Kenya’s favorite parks, so join us on this fun safari tour from the beach. In just a few hours you can be standing on the great plains of Tsavo East Park, watching elephants and other big game emerge from the bush. Then you’ll travel to the foot of world-famous Mt. Kilimanjaro at Amboseli Park, for another 2 days of rich game viewing. This is a short but active safari with lots to see.

Tsavo East National Park is Kenya’s largest park and home to tales of fierce lions. There is so much wildlife to experience on its wild and rugged expanse. Breaking up this red dirt savannah is the Galana River cutting through the park with its line of rich green foliage. Other watering holes in the park will offer us more opportunities to view elephants, buffalo, ostrich, and baboons.

Amboseli National Park is Kenya’s second most popular park. Some say it’s because of the massive herds of elephants found here, others say the park’s smaller size affords active wildlife spotting. And you just may be entranced by the magnificent form of Kilimanjaro watching over us. You’re sure to have your favorites, so let us know how you’d like your safari customized for you. All-Inclusive. Your 3-Day Tsavo East/Amboseli safari includes park entrance fees, game drives, accommodations, and meals. Hidden Treasure Africa Safaris always offers a wide choice of accommodations. Depending on your budget and style choose from economy, comfort, or luxury safari lodges or tented camps.

However… please know that whatever level of accommodation you choose, your actual safari adventure with us will always be at our highest standards.

Your Guide. For your 3-day journey, you’ll be guided, hosted, and looked after by your experienced driver/guide.

Transportation between parks and game viewing will be in a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep – this vehicle is the safari standard with its higher seating and rugged all-wheel drive.

Day 1 :

Collection | Safari | Overnight

Collection - MOMBASA – TSAVO EAST (180 KMS – Approx. 3 hours)

The safari begins with a pickup at your beach hotel or resort. We’ll take the scenic Mombasa – Nairobi Highway, viewing farmlands and Kenya countryside along the way.

Safari - We’ll stop for short break as we enter the park to stretch your lets and there will be opportunities for refreshments, should you want. But we’re here to see the wildlife, so let’s get started on our first game drive.

The park is wide open with sparse foliage – this will make it easier for us as we track lion, elephant, cheetah, giraffe, zebra, antelope, ostrich and so much more including hundreds of bird species.

We’ll check into your lodge or tented campground to freshen up for lunch. Then, we’re off for more exciting game viewing. As the heat of mid-day wanes, the animals become more active, emerging onto the savannah making more opportunities for us.

Overnight - Your experienced safari driver/ guide shall guide you through the national park tracks and later drop you off at your safari lodge or tented camp for overnight.

Day 2 :

Safari - TSAVO EAST – AMBOSELI (260 KM – APPROX. 4 – 5 HRS.)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We’ll arise early on our first safari morning to take full advantage of the dawning light and emerging animal life. We’ll enjoy breakfast and then a quick game drive as we exit Tsavo East. We’re now bound for Amboseli.

We’ll stop for some breaks on our trek to this very popular park. The imposing form of Mt Kilimanjaro will be our beacon guiding us to the park entrance. Arriving, we’ll freshen up before embarking on our first game drive at the foot of the iconic mountain.

Compared to Tsavo East, Amboseli is small and its compact size has the advantage of affording us more opportunities to see the big game. However, you can’t miss the elephants at this reserve. They are in such abundance you’re guaranteed sightings!

Day 3 :

Safari | Drop Off

Safari - AMBOSELI – MOMBASA (400 km – Appr. 7 hrs with lunch stop)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch

It’s an early rise again, and hopefully, the clouds will break at the peak of Kilimanjaro, revealing its snowy crown. Dining at your camp or lodge before a delicious safari breakfast, you can take in the splendor of Africa’s largest peak overlooking the park.

We’ll enjoy one final game drive in Amboseli again looking for the big game and the smaller forms of hyena, fox, monkey and baboon. The park is a virtual city of wildlife.

But now we’re off, heading back to the Kenya coast.

Drop Off - AMBOSELI – MOMBASA (400 km – Appr. 7 hrs. with lunch stop)
On the way back, we’ll make stops to rest, stretch and have lunch.

As we return to your resort or hotel, you’ll gaze at the passing countryside, with thoughts of the marvelous animal sightings that have filled the past three days.

By late afternoon or early evening, we’ll have you back at your coastal accommodation. We’ve enjoyed having you as our guest and look forward to your next safari with us.
